About the Mural

"Cosmonauts" Mural

"We decided to work with the theme of space. We took the single figure of a cosmonaut and depicted it in three different dynamic poses. Space means weightlessness, so the cosmonaut is spinning. This is actually a reference to Futurism, where the same figure can be shown in different phases of movement. We thought the idea fit well with the elongated format of the canvas," explained Maxim Bazarov.

"We paint in a geometric style; we love Soviet monumental art: Constructivism, Avant-Garde, mosaics. We draw heavy inspiration from all of this. I know very few artists who work in this direction, which I find a bit strange. We leverage this exclusivity, as few others paint quite like we do. We have our own visual language, and it's how people recognize us," added Kirill Papin.
