Two Murals: "Vases with Flowers"
The artist has created two murals on a single building.
Post-graffiti artist Stepan Tropin is originally from Yekaterinburg and now lives and works in Israel. AIFO works across various mediums, including murals, painting, and sculpture, and actively participates in international exhibitions and festivals. The artist explores the mythology of the past, present, and future. His current primary theme revolves around the totems of places, people, and events.
"For this facade, I developed a sketch in my signature style—two murals depicting vases with flowers. But these are not typical flowers; they are flowers that evoke memories of some important event. Furthermore, these flowers begin to morph into various images and characters, reminding the residents of a particular event or feat," the artist explained.
"'We Are Proud' is the theme of the festival in Omsk. A flower is a symbol of pride, and it can transform into, for example, a dragon, a bear, or a cat climbing a rope to conquer a fortress. I use spray paint in my work. Unlike other artists who paint in a realistic or more graphic style, I use a clear, defined outline. This outline is my unique technique—few artists do it because it's quite challenging," Stepan added.
Stepan (AIFO) has created his murals on a 16-story facade in Omsk. This project marks his new record, both in terms of height and total surface area covered.
