"The Horse" Mural

Filipp Dulmachenko is a Russian street artist who has been working with stencil techniques for over 18 years. He has always been drawn to street art, and stencils became his favorite creative tool, despite the immense time investment their creation requires. Filipp cuts all his stencils by hand, putting a piece of his soul into each work. He compares the lengthy process of making them to meditation. He constantly experiments and adds complexity to his pieces, paying particular attention to the finest details.

"In my work, I often use images of animals: horses and borzois. I am drawn to their grace, strength, and freedom. This mural reflects the history of the Omsk Hippodrome, which is the oldest beyond the Ural Mountains. It was founded in 1888. My wife and I are involved in horseback riding, which is why I depicted a horse. With this piece, I wanted to foster interest in equestrian sports and help popularize it. I'm glad I had the chance to visit your city's equestrian club, and I even rode two horses, remembering how wonderful it is," shared the artist.
